About 700 thousand infections of coronavirus in India

Capitals, (ST) – India has recorded about 700,000 infections of coronavirus, becoming the third country in the world with the number of cases after the United States and Brazil.

Reuters quoted the Indian Ministry of Health as saying in new data today that more than 23,000 new infections have been recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of injuries to 697,358, indicating that nearly 20,000 deaths have been recorded since the first case was discovered in January.

Indian officials said they revoked a decision to reopen the Taj Mahal, India’s most popular tourist attraction, after the new numbers of cases.

Meanwhile, Mexico recorded 4,683 new cases of the virus yesterday, bringing the total number to 256848, while the number of deaths rose to 30,639, after recording 273 new deaths during the past hours.

The American Health Organization in American states suggested that Latin America, including Mexico and Brazil, would record 400,000 deaths of the virus within the next three months if no more stringent health measures were taken.

In the same context, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation reported that New South Wales is the  most Australia’s populous state, will close its borders with Victoria State tomorrow to contain the spread of Corona virus cases.
