Premier al-Halqi: Syrian Economy Is Growing and Will Grow More
DAMASCUS, (ST)_ Dr, Wael al-Halqi, the Prime Minister, underscored Sunday that all of the basic food and supply products are available in the market and in huge quantities and acceptable price.
In press statements, Premier al-Halqi pointed out that Syria has a huge strategic food supply in store, sufficient for months, if not for years as for some supplies, asserting the availability of needed hard currency.
Premier al-Halqi chaired today an enlarged meeting for Domestic Trade and Consumer Protection Ministry.
The Premier underscored in the meeting that the ongoing systematic destruction in Syria aims, in great part, to destroy Syria’s strategic stockpiles, which caused the loss of billions of Syrian Pounds.
Dr. al-Halqi reiterated, however, that the Syrian Economy is growing and will grow more for the stabilization of prices in the market, and the availability of varied kinds of food supplies, like meat, clothes, construction materials and other important articles.
