Tartous: Several communication projects put into service.

Tartous (ST): The Ministry of Communications and Technology has put Tartous Branch for wireless communication, the telephone exchange centre  and the hall of light and marine communications into service. Minister of Communication engineer Iyad al-Khatib said that these services projects aim at improving the infrastructure of the communication network and improving the international connection between sea cables.

Director of Tartous Communications branch engineer Ahmed Saleh said that the branch includes all required mechanical and electrical equipment and offers all kinds of wireless communications.

Director of Tartous telephone communications Engineer Badie’ Wannous said that the electronic exchange centre works with a capacity of 35000 telephone numbers and serves several neighborhoods in the city.
