The Union indicated in a statement to Sana that the American measure targets the technologies, commodities and basic materials of Syrians s life. This “act” aims to subject Syria to American dictates and prevents companies and businessmen from contributing to the reconstruction of Syria.
The Union called for refusing to implement all unilateral measures imposed by the American administration on any Arab country and considered it contrary to international law.
The Union pointed out that the successive American administrations adopted during the past four decades a policy of imposing unilateral measures that are contrary to the provisions of international law on countries that oppose American policies, noting that these measures included affect most of Arab countries from Iraq, Libya, Sudan, Lebanon, Yemen, Palestine and others for false reasons and accusations.
The Union considered that the the real goals of the so-called (Caesar act) would disrupt the reconstruction of Syria, as well as disrupt the projects to return the Syrian refugees to their areas after reconstruction, and thus continue their suffering and stop the efforts undertaken by the state to restore the northeastern border areas and the exit of foreign forces from it, including the American and Turkish.
At the end the Union called on the Arab countries to be a force that would end all aspects of foreign interference in their affairs and preserve their national resources from the extortion that is practiced by the American administration, stressing that with work, cooperation and integration, the goals and interests pursued by all Arabs can be achieved.
