The Baath Party in Yemen condemns Washington’s imposition of the so-called “Caesar Act” against Syria

The regional leadership of the Baath Arab Socialist Party in Yemen condemned the American administration’s imposition of the so-called “Caesar Act” against the Syrian people.

In a statement issued today, the leadership of the Party stressed that this measure came to cover Washington’s catastrophic failure to achieve its goals against Syria. The measure also targets Syria’s consistent nationalist stances, especially regarding the Palestinian cause and the refusal to normalize with the Zionist occupation entity. The “Caesar Act”  constitutes a desperate attempt to achieve fake victories after terrorists and armed groups failed in achieving any field victories on Syrian territory.

The statement pointed out that in light of the spread of the Coronavirus, Washington is implementing the so-called “Caesar Law” to impose more sanctions on institutions and companies that are related to the economic and living aspects of the Syrian citizen and to any reconstruction efforts in Syria instead of helping to combat the pandemic.
