Thabet was martyred when he was fighting terrorist groups in the city of Raqqa. Nisreen Ali, the martyr’s wife, said: “The martyr participated in battles against terrorism in Raqqa.

 “He was honest and loyal to his country. His heroism was an example to be followed.  He loved his country and didn’t hesitate to sacrifice himself to defend his homeland and its stability. I missed him and I believe he is still alive in heaven” she added.
