The completion of the harvest of aromatic crops by production about 20 thousand tons in Hasaka

Al-Hasakah, (ST) – The production of areas planted with aromatic and medicinal crops in Hasaka amounted to about 20 thousand tons of various varieties.

The Director of Hasaka Agriculture, Eng. Ragab Salama, told SANA reporter that the province’s production of these aromatic crops was good for the current season, as the production of the cultivated areas of cumin reached 10, 480 tons, with an average production of 800 kg per hectare and the areas planted with coriander 7189 tons, with an average production of 1100 kg per hectare and planted with Nigella seed 1850 tons with an average production of 1,000 kg / per hectare.

The Director of Agriculture pointed out that farmers are currently marketing their production in the local markets in the presence of a good selling and buying market and encouraging prices that differ according to the quality of the material and its absence from impurities

It is noteworthy that the area planted with medicinal and aromatic crops for the current season amounted to 24 thousand hectares distributed over various areas of agricultural stability.
