On June 14, the Ministry of Health announced that new seven cases of Coronavirus have been recorded of people who came in contact with people from the town of Ras al-Ma`ra in Damascus countryside, and that three new cases have recovered.
The ministry said in a statement that the total number of infections recorded in Syria reached 177 infections, 74 of them recovered and 6 died.
The ministry imposed complete lock down on the town of Ras al-Maarrah on June 7 after recording 16 cases of the virus in it as a result of contact with an infected truck driver working on the Syria-Jordan route, in order to prevent the spread of the virus and to preserve public health and the safety of citizens.
The first case of Corona virus was recorded in Syria on March 22 for a person coming from outside the country, while the first death was recorded on March 29.
