Syria, Czech to start cooperation in social insurance system

The social insurance agreement, which was signed ten years ago  between Syria and the Czech Republic went into effect on June 1st, 2020 after all necessary measures were completed. 
 
According to the Syrian News Agency (SANA), the agreement,  which was signed on March 25th, 2010 went into effect after all the necessary measures were completed to start the work between the two countries. 
 
The agency cited that the documents relevant to the agreement were exchanged in the Ministery of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates. 
 
Spokeswoman of the Czech Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs said in a statement to SANA correspondent in Prague that the agreement that went into effect as of the beginning of this  month, coordinates between the  social insurance systems of the two countries and respects the basic international principles related to equality in dealing with the citizens of the two countries in the field of social insurance.
 
Syrian Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Rakan Ibrahim said that the agreement will lead to exchage experiences in the field of social insurance and strengthen bilateral relations.
