Lebanese movement asserts that sanctions on Syria will never undermine its firm principles

BEIRUT, (ST)_ Al-Omma Movement [ Nations’ Movement] in Lebanon has stressed that the economic sanctions being imposed on the Syrian people constitute brutal aggression and an absurd attempt to undermine Syria’s national firm principles.

It said in a statement released today that Syria, which is facing the ugliest terror war, has managed with the help of its allies to foil the enemies’ plots and to form a world front against those enemies.

The movement called for further support to Syria and Iraq to confront the US occupation forces.
