Shtayyeh renews Palestinians’ rejection of the occupation plans to annex parts of the West Bank

Occupied al-Quds, (ST) – Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh, renewed the rejection of the Israeli occupation plans to annex parts of the West Bank within the so-called American-Israeli “deal of the century” aimed at liquidating the Palestinian issue.

Shtayyeh said, according to what Wafa News Agency reported today, that the declaration of the occupation of annexing Palestinian lands and their attempt to isolate occupied al-Quds (Jerusalem) from the rest of the West Bank and continue the blockade of the Gaza Strip violates international law and international legitimacy and undermines any opportunity to establish an independent Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967 with al-Quds (Jerusalem) as its capital.

He pointed out that the international position which  rejects the annexation and the “deal of the century” constitutes support for the Palestinians and for building Palestinian institutions and the right of refugees to return to their homes from which they were displaced in order to establish the Palestinian state with al-Quds as its capital.  He indicates that the statements of condemnation are insufficient and the international community must take responsibility for stopping the implementation of settlement occupation schemes, and providing international protection for the Palestinian people who are under the occupation control.

The “Deal of the Century” gave the green light to the Israeli occupation to escalate its crimes and intensify its Jewish settlement designs that violate international legitimacy and international law, Shtayyeh concluded.
