It is the Palestinians who decide their fate, says Iranian Foreign Ministry

Tehran,(ST)- The Iranian Foreign Ministry confirmed that the so-called “deal of the century” shows the extent of Americans’ cunning, stressing that only the Palestinian people can decide their fate.

“Palestine is for the Palestinians and they are the ones who decide their fate,” not the Americans and the Zionists, he said  in a statement issued by the ministry published on social media today, on the eve of the commemoration of the International Day of Jerusalem.

In a related context, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards affirmed on this occasion that the “deal of the century” planners and the annexation of parts of the West Bank are doomed to failure, stressing the strategic choice of restoring rights, not concessions, normalization and submission.

In turn, the Iranian army made it clear in a statement that resisting the occupier is the only and best way regarding the Palestinian issue, stressing that it is the only way to deal with the occupier and liberate Palestine.

Meanwhile , Ali Akbar Velayati, senior advisor to the Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution for International Affairs, stressed that Palestine is the first and most important  issue in the Islamic world.

In a statement today, on the occasion of World Jerusalem Day, Velayati, made clear that enemies are always trying to deflect the compass of the struggle of the Palestinian people from this basic principle, noting that the only way to victory is resistance for Jerusalem.

He stressed that normalization with the Zionist enemy encourages that enemy to commit more crimes against the Palestinians and to proceed in more aggressive schemes such as (Deal of the Century), while the line of resistance to conspiracies showed that the best and most successful tool and strategy to restore the rights of oppressed peoples in the world is to stand against the arrogant.

In the same context, the Committee for the Support of the Palestinian Islamic Revolution in the Presidency of the Iranian Republic affirmed that the International Day of Jerusalem is the axis of union against global arrogance and said in a statement that the last Friday of Ramadan is the embodiment of the unity and cohesion of peoples to fight global arrogance.

Al-Quds International Day falls on the last Friday of Ramadan as an expression of solidarity with the Palestinian people against the Israeli occupation.
