The Idlib Agriculture Directorate: Prospects for the production of 27,000 tons of lentils in lands liberated from terrorism
The Idlib Agriculture Directorate is expected to produce 27,000 tons of lentil crops during the current season in lands liberated from terrorism.
On May 19, the Director of Agriculture Eng. Naguib Tabaa, stated in a statement that the cultivated areas of lentil crop amounted to 18 thousand hectares, all in rainfed lands out of the total planned plan for the current season, which amounts to 20 thousand hectares.
He added that the crop situation is good and there are no insect infestations or diseases in the cultivated areas.
He said that the quantity of lentil production this season will be good because of rainfalls during the period of its cultivation, noting that the places of cultivation of lentils are spread in most of the liberated areas, especially in Khan Sheikhoun, Saraqib, Maarat Al-Numan and Sinjar.
