Syria, Cuba discuss how to strengthen parliamentary relations

DAMASCUS, (ST)_Syria and Cuba have discussed the ways of strengthening the parliamentary relations, according to the Syrian News Agency (SANA).

The agency reported that the Syrian-Cuban Friendship Committee in the Syrian People’s Assembly [Parliament] has discussed with Cuba’s Ambassador in Damascus Miguel Porto Parga the deep-rooted bilateral relations and the importance of joint struggle against the imperialist powers, mainly the United States that seeks to have hegemony over independent countries.

The Cuban diplomat reiterated his country’s support for Syria, especially during the current circumstances. He condemned the US exploitation of Covid-19 crisis to escalate its aggressive policy towards independent countries, especially Syria, Cuba and Venezuela.
