Several Iraqi security personnel killed and wounded in Daesh terror attack

BAGHDAD, (ST)- Several Iraqi security personnel were killed and wounded in an attack launched by Daesh terrorist organization on a checkpoint in al-Dujail area of Salahuddin province in the central part of Iraq.

Alsumaria News website quoted a security source as saying on Saturday that terrorists affiliated to Daesh terror organization attacked Sheikh Ibrahim checkpoint in al-Dujail district killing and wounding several security personnel.

The wounded were moved to a nearby hospital while the dead were transferred to the Forensic Medicine department, according to the source.

On Friday, the Popular Mobilization Committee announced that 10 of its members were killed and wounded while repelling a terrorist attack by Daesh north of Diyala province.
