Head of the National Party of Egypt Rofael Poulis has called for lifting the sanctions being imposed on Syria.
In a statement to the correspondent of the Syrian News Agency (SANA) in Cairo, Poulis said that Syria faces a siege being imposed upon it by the enemies of humanity, mainly the United States that supports terrorist militias in Syria.
He asserted that the Egyptian people stand by Syria and reject the sanctions being imposed on it, especially during the outbreak of Coronavirus.
“The fight of this virus necessitates international cooperation and lifting the sanctions,” Poulis added.
He appealed to the US not to intervene in the internal affairs of the Middle East and Arab states and to stop backing the militias that are against governments.
