Sayyed Nasrallah: The political and military battle waged by Syria against terrorism is equally fierce

Beirut, (ST) – Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed  Hasan Nasrallah affirmed that the political battle waged by Syria is no less fierce than its military battle against terrorism and its supporters, stressing that all talking about the allies’ abandonment of Syria is just dreams and baseless.

In his speech today, Sayyed Nasrallah on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Commander Mustafa Badr al-Din clarified that in 2011 the American-Saudi-Israeli conspiratorial plan to target Syria started in view of its location in the conflict with the Israeli enemy and its position on the Palestinian issue, and the main goal was to weaken it and push it to abandon Palestine and the occupied Syrian Golan.

Sayyed Nasrallah said that the American hegemony system in the region seeks to normalize between the countries of the region and the Israeli occupation entity, and there are some countries that reject this, including Syria and Iran. He indicated that this system wanted to weaken Syria because of its pivotal role in facing the plans that target the region, but Syria refused to submit to all the pressures.

He stressed that Syria won the war that was launched against it thanks to its government, army, people, and the stability of its allies alongside it, pointing out that what its enemies failed to achieve militarily in Syria they tried to achieve politically and the political battle is no less fierce than the military battle, adding that Syrians are making the future of their country and the region.

“Syria had succeeded in the political battle despite the psychological war and the blockade that it faces, noting that those who besieged Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Gaza and Yemen himself have  begun to suffer from the repercussions of the Corona virus”, Sayyed Nasrallah said.

On the Lebanese side, Sayyed Nasrallah made it clear that the solution to the economic crisis in the country would be through enhancing and strengthening relations with Syria, noting that the path of Lebanese products to Arab markets passes through Syria, and who wants to tackle the economic situation in Lebanon needs to review and arrange relations with Syria.
