Damascus, (ST) – A Syrian passenger plane with249 Syrians who were stranded abroad arrived from Baghdad International Airport in Iraq to Damascus International Airport this morning, in implementation of the decisions of the government team concerned with tackling the Corona virus.
SANA correspondent at Damascus International Airport indicated that the Syrians who were coming through the airport were transported by private buses to the quarantine centers, after measuring the temperatures of each of them and recording their data, indicating that they will be kept for 14 days to ensure that they are not infected with the Corona virus.
The Ministry of Health has equipped the quarantine centers so that they provide all the proper accommodation services for passengers, in addition to a specialized medical team overseeing health care by providing medical and investigative services around the clock.
The Syrian flights had started since the fourth of this month to operate to evacuate the Syrian nationals who want to return from a number of countries in the world to Syria according to the lists that were registered through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, within the framework of the decisions of the government team concerned with tackling the Corona virus.
