Turkish Occupation forces reduce quantity of water pumped to Hasaka by half

HASAKA, (ST)- The Turkish occupation forces and their terrorist mercenaries in the countryside of the Syrian city of Ras Al-Ain have reduced the quantity of water pumped from the Alouk water project, that feeds the city of Hasaka and its western countryside, by half

The provocative move comes within the framework of the Turkish occupation’s criminal acts against civilians in Syria.

Head of the General Establishment of Water in Hasaka province Mahmoud al-Okla told SANA reporter on Wednesday that the Turkish occupation forces prevented the employees of the water establishment from entering the station and operating the wells and pumps there. Instead, al-Okla said, the occupation forces operated half the number of wells in the project and reduced the quantity of pumped water by half, which is not enough to meet the citizens’ need, particularly as the temperature is getting higher and the demand for water is growing.
