Over 260 stranded Syrian citizens were brought home from UAE

A Syrian passenger plane carrying over 260 people, who were stranded in the United Arab Emirates, arrived at the International Bassel al-Assad Airport in Lattakia.

Head of the General Health Programs Department at Lattakia Health Directorate Dr. Wafaa Halloum said: “medical teams received the passengers, conducted general tests, and provided assistance to those who need it.”

She added that another team sanitized the passengers’ luggage before transporting the passengers via buses to quarantine centers set up at “La Mira” and “Blue Beach” hotels where they will stay for 14 days.

This step comes within the framework of decisions adopted by the government team to bring back home the Syrian citizens, who were stuck abroad because of Corona virus crisis.

Yesterday, a Syrian flight brought 257 people home from Kuwait.
