HOMS, (ST)- Explosions took place Friday morning at a military checkpoint to the southeast of Homs and the wounded (as a result of shrapnel ) were transported to hospitals.
Military source said that investigation into the incident concluded that the blasts were caused by a human error while transporting some munitions. The blasts caused human and material losses, the source added.
Earlier, Homs Governor Talal Barazi told the Syrian TV that preliminary information show that the explosion rocked one of the military checkpoints to the southeast of Homs and that investigation is underway to specify the nature of these explosions, according to the Syrian news Agency (SANA).
Head of the Homs Health Directorate, Dr. Hassan Al-Jundi, said that 10 wounded persons arrived at the city’s hospitals.
