The Syrian satellite channel and Syrian Drama channel will broadcast a variety of works of Syrian drama during the holy month of Ramadan, which will be shown for the first time on national channels, to meet the taste of Ramadan viewers.
Hares al-Quds “the Gardian of Jerusalem” series comes at the forefront of the works that will be presented during the holy month as the largest work produced by the Public Corporation for TV and Radio Production. It is written by Hassan M. Yusuf and directed by Basil al-Khatib. Its story revolves around Bishop Hilarion Capucci from his birth and childhood in the city of Aleppo, his religious study and his struggle against the Zionist occupation.
Among the works of the Damascene culture comes the series” Brocade”, whose events revolve in a Damascene quarter called the Brocade Quarter during the period of the French occupation. The work deals with an attempt by a French engineer during the French occupation to steal the secret of the Brocade craft. It also deals with the role of the Syrian woman in facing the occupation. The work is written by Samir Hazeem and directed by Muhammad Zuhair Rajab.
The Damascene series Souq al-Harir “the Silk Souq” is also screened. It is written by Hanan Al-Mahraji, and directed by the brothers Bassam and Moamen Al-Mulla. The events of the series revolve in a social framework in Damascus in the mid-fifties of the last century, and it tells the story of a woman whose eldest son escapes due to an accident that she had faced. The series of “an interview with Mr. Adam”, which is written and directed by Fadi Selim, revolves around a mysterious crime which a police officer tries to reveal its hidden mysteries. Then, he seeks the assistance of a Coroner, so that he can determine the circumstances of the crime in detail and reach the murderer, but the party causing the crime kidnaps his daughter to put pressure on him.

It belongs to the social drama category that carries an exciting character through the story of a conflict between two families as a result of an old dispute for the sake of wealth and money, and then a love story arises between a young man and a girl from the two families.

The “Girls and what have you” “Harakat Banat” series, which is written by Saeed Hanawi and directed by Mohamed Suleiman, tells the story of a family of three girls who live with their aunt after the death of their mother and their father, through funny and comical events.
The series the “Madness of Love” comes in a social, romantic framework which presents five separate sets of stories, each one of them revolves around a different love story and focuses on the human, social and psychological aspect.
The series “Black Rose” belongs to the social drama category that contains excitement and drama. It revolves around the crimes of gangs smuggling antiquities and money laundering, under the overview of the terrorist organization “ISIS”. The events of the 30-episode work revolve between Syria and Algeria and feature a series of social and human relations. The work is written by George Arabji and directed by Samir Hussain.
