Prague,(ST)- the European Parliament member of the Czech Republic Katrjina Konichna called to end the coercive economic measures imposed by the West on Syria.
Konichna said in a statement to SANA correspondent in Prague today that she opposes the principle of imposing these measures from the beginning, indicating her intention to ask the Vice-President of the European Commission to lift it.
She pointed out that she had already stood behind a proposal put forward by the European Parliament previously to end such measures that have no meaning.
Earlier this month, European Union foreign policy chief Josep Borrell called for the lifting off coercive measures that impede the delivery of humanitarian aid to Syria, Iran, and Venezuela , amid the outbreak of the Corona epidemic around the world.
