President al-Assad to Iranian FM: Coronavirus crisis has unveiled the failure and immorality of western regimes

DAMASCUS, (ST)_President Bashar al-Assad received on Monday the Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammed Javad Zarif and the accompanying delegation. 

 

The president expressed his condolences to Iran and Iranian people on the victims of Coronavirus. H.E. expressed his sorrow that the coronavirus pandemic has been turned into an issue that is being politically invested by some countries in the West, mainly the United States. 

 

“Coronavirus crisis has unveiled the failure and immorality of the western regimes that serve the interests of a certain group and not their peoples,” the president said. 

 

The talks between the two sides focused on political process, including Constitutional committee and Astana talks, besides the developments in north Syria in the light of Turkey’s incessant attacks on Syria territories either through direct occupation or setting up what it calls observation points, which are actually military bases.
