The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemns the attack of settlers

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the attack by a group of Israeli settlers infected with Coronavirus and under the protection of the occupation forces against the Palestinians in the Jordan Valley region at dawn today.

Wafa Agency quoted the Ministry as saying in a statement that settlers infected with Coronavirus attacked the Palestinians under the protection of the occupation forces and burned a number of their cars, stressing that this attack comes as an extension of dozens of attacks by settlers against the Palestinian people, land and property.

The statement stressed that the violations of the occupation forces and the attacks of settlers increased dramatically in light of the outbreak of the Corona epidemic to hinder Palestinian efforts to limit its spread, warning of the repercussions of the occupation’s exploiting of the global concern in dealing with the epidemic to implement its plans by annexing parts of the West Bank and expanding the systematic Judaization processes, especially in Jerusalem and the Jordan Valley.

Earlier today, Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian property in Wadi al-Darja, near the Dead Sea, and burned two cars.

The Palestinian government confirmed on Monday that the Israeli occupation finds in the global spread of the Coronavirus an opportunity to abuse and oppress the Palestinians in light of the silence and preoccupation of the international community with the Corona pandemic.
