Syrian Arab army adopts new tactics in al-Qsir battle

PROVINCES,(ST)_Successfully, the Syrian Arab army completes the first stage of military operation in al-Qsir city in the central Homs province and adopts new tactics based on carrying out qualitative operations against foreign-backed terrorist groups, a military source said.

In details, units of armed forces have taken control of al-Akkari farm and Tal al-Ser outside al-Qsir after cleansing them of terrorists while other units have continued hunting down the terrorists in al-Hamedeyeh town in the same area.

A military source declared that the units of armed forces have dismantled tens of explosive devices planted by terrorists inside homes and on main roads in the western quarter, noting that several tunnels have been found in the said quarter. 

It added that several terrorist’ hideouts have been pounded in towns of Aqrab, Kisin, al-Ghanto, Talbisa, Southern al-Mashjar, Bet Hajjo, Eastern al-Bweda ,and al-Rastan areas resulted in killing three terrorist leaders and many of their men.

In Homs city, the units of armed forces eliminated unknown number of terrorists in quarters of al-Qarabis, al-Khaledeyeh, Joret al-Shayyah, al-Hamedeyeh, al-Warsheh, and Basatin al-Waer.

Meanwhile, the units of armed forces continued targeting terrorist groupings and their weapons in Harasta, Doma, Jobar, Barzeh, al-Jarba, Qesa,al-Mliha,and al-Bahareya areas outside Damascus.

2 booby-trapped cars destroyed

In this context, an official source told SANA that a unit of armed forces destroyed two booby-trapped cars loaded with 1300 kg explosives on Harasta-Damascus road. The terrorists inside the cars were reportedly dead.

‘Revolution’ intelligence officer killed

Whilst,  the units of armed forces outside the northern Aleppo province pounded many of terrorists’ hideouts and caches near the central prison, Meneg military airport, Atareb, and Kafernaha areas.

A big number of terrorists, including the Jordanian terrorist Mohammad al-Mohannadi, who is called “Officer of revolution intelligence”, was killed near Aleppo prison.

It was also reported that clashes broke out between armed forces and terrorist groups in squares of al-Hamedeyeh, al-Marje, and B’eden in Aleppo city and in quarters of al-Sena’a and al-Jam’eyat and al-M’reeyeh town in Der Ezzour province.

Terrorists kill each other

On the other hand, a quarrel broke out between two armed terrorist groups over sharing loots in al-Mayadeen city in Der Ezzour province ended in the death of dozens of the groups’ members.

 Syria is facing a foreign-backed war that aims to weaken the Syrian Arab army and destroy national economy to serve Israel’s interests in the region.
