Chinese President reiterates readiness to assist US in combatting Corona virus

Chinese President Xi Jinping reiterated his country’s readiness to offer assistance to the US to combat Corona virus, expressing hope that Washington would take measures to improve bilateral relations following the latter’s accusations of Beijing for being responsible in spreading Corona virus.

The Chinese news agency quoted Jinping as saying to his US counterpart Donald Trump in a telephone conversation that China understands the current crisis through which the US is passing through , stressing readiness to offer all possible help, adding that pandemics do not know borders or races and they are a common enemy for humanity as a whole.

Jinping called on Trump to take practical and effective measures to protect the lives of the Chinese citizens in the US.

He added that the international community could defeat Corona virus and all other pandemics through collective and coordinated efforts.

 Last week, China described the accusations directed by Trump regarding its responsibility for the spread of the Corona virus as mere allegations that ignore China’s strenuous efforts and contributions to curb the pandemic.
