Rouhani: Iran seeks to control Coronavirus by implementing strict measures for two weeks

Tehran,(ST)- Iranian President Hassan Rouhani announced that his country is seeking to control the Coronavirus by implementing strict measures that start today and continue for two weeks, expressing his hope to reduce the infection during this period.

“Our conditions are better than in many countries, despite the sanctions imposed on us, but we need to get a billion dollars from the National Development Fund to counter the virus,” Rouhani said at the meeting of the Iranian Economic Committee.

He pointed out that the Iranian armed forces prepared 4 thousand beds, a number of which have not been used yet, in addition to preparing all hospital beds in the country, pointing out that the government took a decision today to support the affected businesses  and provide small loans during the implementation of the social isolation project.
