Al-Mouallem: Syria has no option but victory

DAMASCUS,(ST)_Syrian officials have met the visiting Tunisian delegation and briefed them on what is going on in Syria.

Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Walid al-Mouallem, told the delegation that the regional and international parties involved in the conspiracy against Syria seek to destroy the country and divert Arab people’s attention away from the central Arab national cause-Palestine-  

“The conspirators, in addition, work tirelessly to fragment social and cultural fabric of the Syrian society which is known for being an example of co-existence,” al-Mouallem said, stressing that Syria has no option but victory.

“Syria’s victory over war being waged against it is a victory for Arab nation’s just causes.”

The Foreign Minister, also, underscored that Arab national parties have a key role in confronting dangers that face the Arab nation. He thanked the Tunisian parties for their solidarity with Syria.

Following the meeting, representative of Tunisian People’s Movement Party for resisting aggression on Syria, Mohammad al-Azhar Ali, told reporters that the meeting was distinguished and it dealt with all topics related to Syrian- Tunisian ties.”

“We raised the issue of misled Tunisians who joined the Takfiri gunmen to fight the Syrian Arab army. The delegation will press the Tunisian government to solve all issues,” al-Azhar added.

 

Al-Zou’bi: aggression targets Syrian state  

The Tunisian delegation also met Information Minister, Omran al-Zou’bi, who stressed that the aggression on Syria targets from the very beginning the Syrian state.

Al-Zou’bi noted the decrees and laws issued by the Syrian government at all levels to pave the ground for launching comprehensive reform.

He also talked about the role of some Gulf States in fueling violence in Syria through supporting terrorist groups that perpetrate crimes against citizens and systematically destroy Syria’s infrastructure.

Al-Zou’bi briefed the delegation on Syria’s modern political history and the political stability which the country has enjoyed since the 1970s.

3mln job opportunities lost

Later on, the delegation met Head of the General Federation of Workers Unions, Mohammad Sha’aban Azzouz, who spoke of losses in industrial facilities as a result of the terrorist groups’ acts.

“At least 1000 workers have been martyred and 3 million job opportunities have been lost due to the terrorist acts that targeted factories across Syria,” Azzouz said.

The Tunisian delegation censured the global war against Syria, stressing solidarity with the Syrian people in their steadfastness.

The delegation includes representatives of several parties and activists.
