For the third consecutive day, the Turkish occupation army and its terrorist mercenaries have continued to cut off potable water from the city of al-Hasakah and its population centers .International organizations have denounced these criminal practices in light of the measures taken to face the Coronavirus, which require sufficient quantities of water.
On March 24, Director of Al-Hasakah Water Company Eng. Mahmoud Al-Ikula said that the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries continue with its violations and have cut off the water to the city of al-Hasakah, which threaten the lives of about 600,000 people in the areas that depend on the Alouk wells project as the only source of drinking water.
Al-Ikula said : “ This morning, the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries prevented the Company’s workers from operating the water station.”
Earlier in the day, the United Nations Children’s Fund(UNICEF) rejected the practices of the Turkish regime and its mercenaries from cutting off drinking water that feeds the city of al- Hasaka.
UNICEF considered this matter as endangering the lives of about half a million people at risk, especially at a time when the world is doing efforts to face the Coronavirus before it spreads.
