Damascus Governorate starts a wide scale sterilization campaign

Damascus (ST): Damascus Governorate in cooperation with the Syrian Red Crescent Organization started  a wide scale sterilization campaign through special cars equipped with sterilizing materials within the framework of the preventive measures to confront corona-virus and preserve public safety.
The campaign set off from Yousef al-Azmeh Square through four huge tanks and a number of lorries loaded with sterilizing materials. It will last for several  days in the city’s streets and neighborhoods.
Damascus Governor engineer Adel al-Olabi said in a press statement that the campaign came within the framework of the measures taken by the governorate to confront corona-virus which also includes intensifying tours on markets to make sure that the owners of shops commit to the instructions and health conditions, calling on all citizens to behave with a high sense of responsibility in confronting the fatal virus.
Director of water and rehabilitation administration at the Syrian Arab Red Crescent Organization Firass Firass said that about 50 volunteers are taking part in the campaign which will move to other governorates during the forthcoming days.
