Washington’s policy against Syria violatesinternational law, says Russian officials

Moscow, (ST) – Two Russian officials emphasized that the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the United States on Syria are immoral and contrary to international law.

The head of the Education and Science Committee of the Russian State Duma Vyacheslav Nikonovsaid in an interview with a SANA correspondent in Moscow today that the imposition of sanctions has become a clear method of American policy in an attempt to cover up its problems.

 Nikonov pointed out that Washington does not care about dangerous changes and crises on the international scene, such as the global economic crisis and the drop in oil prices, and most of all, the spread of the Corona virus.

Nikonov affirmed that the situation in Idlib is complicated by the Turkish regime’s continued protection of the various terrorist groups there, ,Pointing out that Russia’s positions are consistent with regard to the need to eliminate terrorist groups.
