Damascus, (ST) – On two tracks, university and hospitals take action to tackle the Corona virus and prevent the spread of infection in the case of recording infections.
Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Human Medicine at the University of Damascus for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Marwan Al-Halabi, said in a statement to SANA that a central committee has been formed to follow-up hospital facilities and ensure that prevention measures are being followed .
The procedures also include the provision of necessary materials and sterilizers, laser sensors and heat sensors to check all entrants to hospitals, al-Halabi added.
Al-Halabi indicated that graduate students are prepared and qualified to deal with these suspected cases in a scientifically accurate manner. These students are divided into well-qualified groups to follow up on all the information received on this topic in international websites.
Al-Halabi referred to the forming of a scientific technical committee specialized in infectious and chest diseases and viruses to continue the latest scientific developments in the diagnosis and management of cases of coronavirus infection.
The work of putting the medical protocols related to this work in hospitals, receive patients and distribute them according to a scientific mechanism and test patients is being taken also into consideration, al-Halabi added.
