Corona-virus infections and deaths increase world-wide

Capitals (ST): The number of death cases and infections by the corona-virus have increased as governments are trying to prevent its spread.

In China, the National Health Committee said that 20 new cases were registered for people coming from outside the country.

In South Korea, 84 new infections were registered while the deaths resulting from the virus reached 82.

In Thailand, thirty new cases were announced bringing the number of those infected to 1770.Twenty nine infections were recorded in Mexico raising the number of infections in the country to 82.

The Ministry of Health in the Turkish regime said that 29 infections were registered yesterday bringing the total number of infections to 47.

In Cambodia, twelve new cases were recorded raising the number of those infected to 24.

In Jordan, the Ministry of Health announced that the number of infections reached 33.

In Venezuela, President Nicholas Maduro  said that Venezuela would apply a quarantine on the whole country after the discovery of 16 cases yesterday.

 

In India, the authorities closed all museums and tourist sites including Taj Mahal until March 31 as the number of corona-virus infection reached 114.

In Colombia, the government announced the closure of all its borders until May 30 to prevent the spread of the corona-virus. Inns and night clubs were also closed.

Meanwhile, the Chinese Presidency of the UN Security Council announced the cancellation of  the two meetings listed on the agenda of the Council because of the spread of the Corona-Virus.
