Rouhani denies putting Tehran and other cities in quarantine

Tehran,(ST)- Iranian President Hassan Rouhani denied that a quarantine had been imposed on the capital, Tehran, other cities, or anywhere in the country.

Rouhani said in a statement today during an economic meeting of the government that what was emphasized was the need to focus on the conditions and economic activities operating normally despite the outbreak of the Corona virus and attention to health rules.

Rouhani indicated that the Iranian government has no problem in securing the necessary goods and that it has taken good measures to help citizens, including delaying the payment of taxes, the payment of bank debts and insurance for a period of three months, granting financial advances and cash assistance to those affected by the Corona crisis. He pointed out that financial aid will be distributed to three million citizens affected their work is caused by the Coruna virus, and four million families have been given financial advances because of their vulnerability to the virus.

 

In turn, the deputy of the new Iranian Shura Council, Mahmoud Nabuyan, told Mehr  Agency that the Foreign Ministry and the National Security Committee are studying the possibility that the Corona virus is an American biological attack, explaining that if Iran gets the required documents, it will sue America for that.
