DAMASCUS, (ST)- President Bashar Assad on Saturday issued Decree No. 86 for 2020 on delaying the parliamentary elections from April 13 until May 20 within the framework of the country’s precautionary measures aiming at averting the possible spread of coronavirus pandemic.
On March 3, President Al-Assad issued Decree No. 76 for 2020 that fixed April 13, 2020 as the date for holding parliamentary elections to elect members of the People’s Assembly for the third legislative term.
