Judicial Committee finished studying 8735 candidacy applications for parliamentary elections
DAMASCUS, (ST)_The Higher Judicial Committee has finished studying the candidacy applications submitted for the 3rd legislative term of Parliamentary elections to be held on April 13,2020.
“After we finished studying the applications submitted in all provinces, we announced the names of the accepted ones,” Head of the committee Adviser Haidar Rahmeh said, citing that the people whose applications have been rejected have the right to appeal in three days as of the date of announcing the names of the candidates.
According to the 2014 General Election Law No.5, the candidate can start launching his/her electoral campaign immediately after the committee accepts the candidacy application.
The submission of candidacy applications for the 3rd legislative term of Parliament closed yesterday and the number of applications for parliament hit 8735.
