A European diplomat confirmed that the United States did not coordinate with European officials on the travel ban from Europe to the United States before US President Donald Trump announced this decision on Wednesday night.
Trump said in a televised speech that his government was in constant contact with US allies on the 30-day travel ban, but the EU officials had not received notification or coordination about the decision before it was announced, Reuters quoted the diplomat as saying.
Trump announced on Wednesday night suspension of travel from Europe to the United States with the exception of Britain for 30 days after the sharp criticism of his policies that limited the ability of the United States to cope with the spread of the Coronavirus.
