Damascus (ST): The Chamber of Industry in Damascus and its Countryside signed a protocol of cooperation with the regional office of the Arab Importers and Exporters Federation to facilitate trade exchange, improve the quality of products, increase their competitiveness and encourage investment in exportation between Syria and the Arab states.
The Protocol stipulates that every party offers facilitations for the other party in studying the Arab markets which will develop inter-Arab trade, and marketing for each other on all occasions and conferences. It also provides for holding training courses for Syrian importers and exporters.
The two sides will also exchange economic and trade information, the periodicals issued by Arab and international markets and the proposals to overcome the difficulties and obstacles hindering the work of exporters.
Chairman of the Chamber of Industry in Damascus and its Countryside Samer al-Dibs underlined the importance of the protocol in overcoming the exportation obstacles and increasing the bulk of Syrian exports to the Arab markets.
In turn, Deputy Chairman of the Arab Importers and Exporters’ Federation Dr. Hasan Jawad stressed the importance of activating cooperation between the two sides to open new markets for Syrian industries.
