After a hiatus of 8 years , the mobile dental unit returns to the service of Hama schools

After an eight-year hiatus, Hama Directorate has put  the mobile dental unit in the service of the school students again after its maintenance. The Directorate also provided the unit with all necessary medical equipment.

Head of Hama Education Directorate  Yahya Munajed said  that the mobile clinic aims to provide free services for male and female students and to spread the culture of dental care from early ages, especially with the spread of oral diseases as a result of wrong health habits.

Munjed noted that the clinic will move between villages and towns where there are no health centers to reach all children. The fees of treatment will be greatly reduced.

Head of the School Health Department Dr. Ayman Adi pointed out that a weekly program for the mobile dental unit was laid down  to visit most of the governorate’s schools, noting that the clinic includes a dentist and a technical assistant.

The Doctor, Dr. Fadi Barazi stated that the clinic will provide periodic examination for students and  simple dental treatments as well as raising awareness about how to take care of teeth and protect them from decay.
