Aoun Opposes Any Foreign Intervention in Syria

BEIRUT,(ST)_Chairman of  Change and Reform bloc in the Lebanese Parliament  Michel Aoun  renewed opposition to any foreign interference in Syria, holding certain sides in the  outgoing Lebanese government responsible for what is happening on the Lebanese-Syrian border as a result of their inaction and neglect policy.

In  a televised interview, Aoun added:” the deliberate negligence  of the  Lebanese security authorities brought us to a state of chaos,” pointing out that he demanded the prime minister not to distance himself from Akkar and Akkar to be  a military area but the government did not agree.

He questioned investigations concerning  arms ships  that arrived at the port of Tripoli and the weapon that was smuggled and transported across the border into Syria, saying “I had repeatedly warned of neglect of Lebanon ‘s  northern border with Syria and Lieberman and Feltman  visits to Wadi Khaled to set up camps and buffer zones on the border or within Lebanese territory for militants under the cover of  housing displaced Syrians .
