Fearab America: Turkish attacks on Syria violate the United Nations Charter and the international law rules

The Federation of American Arab Associations in America (Fearab America) affirmed that the attacks committed by the Turkish regime against Syria and the presence of the American and Turkish occupation forces on its territories constitute a violation of the United Nations Charter and the international law rules

In a solidarity visit paid to the Syrian residence in the capital, Havana by the Chairman of Fearab America Alfredo Darwish Gutierrez and Head of Fearab-Cuba Khossi Elias Chidiac, the Federation expressed, in a statement delivered to the Syrian Ambassador in Cuba Dr. Idris Mia, deep concern due to the escalation of attacks in the brutal and illegal war that was imposed nearly about nine years ago on the Syrian Arab Republic.

The statement stressed that the occupation of parts of Syrian territory by the US and Turkish forces, in addition to the attacks of the forces of Recep Tayyip Erdogan regime in Syria, which cause killing and displacing thousands of civilians, further aggravate the situation and constitute a violation of the UN Charter  and the international law rules.

The statement warned of the catastrophic role played by the Israeli occupation entity through its repeated aggression against Syria and its attempt to destabilize it, stressing that the Syrian government is determined to defend the country’s sovereignty and independence and defeat terrorism.

In its statement, the Union noted the victories of the Syrian Arab Army and its allies over the terrorist organizations of ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra in Aleppo and other cities.

The Federation of Arab American Associations in Cuba (Fearab-Cuba) called on the Security Council, the international community, and members of Fearab America to express their solidarity with Syria and work to prevent the aggravation of the crisis in it, warning of unpredictable consequences throughout the Middle East region.

In turn, Ambassador Mia stressed the Syrian leadership, people and army are determined to continue to fight terrorist organizations wherever they are found along the Syrian territories and to free every inch of the Syrian soil from terrorism and from all foreign forces that entered Syria without a request from its government.

Ambassador Mia underlined the importance of the role that the Federation of American Arab Associations in America (Fearab America) could play in terms of solidarity with Syria in its war against terrorism and in highlighting the subversive role of Erdogan regime and its support for the terrorist organizations in Syria, Libya and other countries.
