President al-Assad to Libyan delegation: War against terrorism will determine the region’s fate

DAMASCUS, (ST)_President Bashar al-Assad received today a Libyan delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister Abdul Rahman al-Aherish and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Abdul Hadi al-Hwij.

The talks dealt with the recent developments in Syria and Libya besides the war being waged by the two countries against terrorism and all forms of foreign intervention.

The two sides asserted the similarity between what is going on in Syria and Libya, pointing out that the war against terrorism will determine the fate of the region in confronting the plots that some countries try to impose on it through their tools, mainly Erdogan’s regime whose policy is based on using terrorism to achieve political interests that are behind instability in the region.

Reactivating bilateral cooperation between Syria and Libya in all fields, which will start with reopening the headquarters of the diplomatic missions of both countries, for enhancing steadfastness was also on the table
