Russia’s Ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Zasypkin today stressed that the repeated provocations by the terrorist organizations in Syria have made the elimination of terrorism a priority.
During a symposium in Beirut on Wednesday, Zasypkin pointed out that his country is still committing to the Sochi understandings and the Astana talks on Syria, pointing out that this stage is “very sensitive, therefore there are consultations between the parties concerned regarding the developments of the situation.”
On the Lebanese issue, Zaspkin said: “We want the Lebanese government to have appropriate circumstances so that it can work,” underling the necessity of ensuring a period of actual work without any conditions.
