Syrian Arab army eliminates 12 terrorist leaders outside Damascus

PROVINCES,(ST)_Units of armed forces advance in the eastern Idleb province amid reports of intense fighting outside Damascus, Aleppo, Daraa and Der Ezzour provinces.

In details, a military source declared today (Saturday) that a unit of armed forces has restored stability and security to Tal Salmo town outside Idleb province after cleansing it of terrorists.

This advance follows several victories achieved by the Syrian Arab army in countryside of Damascus, Homs and Aleppo.

The source, in addition, stressed that several terrorists’ hideouts in al-Janodeye, Ma’arretmesrin, Taftinaz and Jabal al-Arbaen areas in the same province (Idleb) have been pounded.

It was also reported that a big quantity of ammunitions and weapons, including Turkish communication devices and RPG launchers, Dutch rifle, and explosives and stolen medicines were confiscated inside a hideout of terrorists in Abo al-Dohor countryside.

Meanwhile, a unit of armed forces destroyed several facilities for producing explosive devices in the industrial area in Yabroud, north to the capital, where 12 terrorist leaders and their men with Saudi, Tunisian, Libyan and Afghani nationalities were dead.

Unknown number of terrorists was also eliminated in a series of operations carried out by the armed forces in Harsta, Adra, Doma, Barzeh, Jobar, and al-Qabon areas.

Clashes in Aleppo and Daraa

In the northern Aleppo province, the armed forces shelled terrorists’ weapons and hideouts in the surrounding of Meneg military airport, central prison, al-Layramon, Bestan al-Qaser, and Khan al-Assal areas.

The same areas witnessed fierce clashes between units of armed forces and terrorist groups, according to SANA.

Other clashes broke out in the old airport alley in Der Ezzour province and near al-Omari Mosque in the southern Daraa province ended in killing many terrorists.

However, the units of armed forces in Lattakia countryside targeted arms caches of al-Nusra Front-affiliated terrorists, destroyed their hideouts in al-Mrej, al-Khadr’a, Berj Zahye, Madares al-Rabe’a and al-Dera areas, north to the province, and killed a lot of them.

Tunisian, Egyptian, and Libyan terrorists are among the killed.

In Homs, a unit of armed forces repelled a terrorist group’s bid to sneak into Syria from Lebanon through Tal-Kalakh city whilst two terrorist groups killed each other in a quarrel broke out between them over sharing loots in al-Holeh countryside.

Two car blasts in Damascus

In a separate incident, terrorists blasted two cars in the capital, causing casualties and serious damages at the scene.

According to a source at the Police Command, the first blast took place in Dwel’a alley caused by the detonation of an explosive device attached to a car. Four citizens were wounded and serious damage was caused to several cars at the scene.

The second one, which happened in Rekneddin area as a result of blasting an explosive device attached to a car, has left at least 2 martyrs and 7others wounded at the scene.

Syria is facing a foreign-backed war that aims to weaken the Syrian Arab army and destroy national economy to serve Israel’s interests in the region.

The US, France, Britain, Qatar, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia fund and support the terrorist groups, who perpetrate heinous crimes against citizen and destroy Syria’s infrastructure.
