Syrian army makes a new advance in the west of Aleppo

ALEPPO, (ST)_The Syrian army liberated Oram al-Soghra town in the west of Aleppo and continued to target terrorist groups in Oram al-Kobra town and its vicinity in the same region.

According to the Syrian News Agency (SANA), the army units carried out operations against al-Nusra Front terrorists and the other terrorist groups on several axes towards Oram al-Soghra town to the west of the international road.  

The operations ended with driving terrorists out of the town of Oram al-Soghra.

Meanwhile, other army units pressed ahead with combing the area of al-Rashideen 4 and removed mines left behind by terrorist groups before defeating them.

A network of tunnels plus weapons and ammunition were found in the said area.

Yesterday, the Syrian army recaptured Kaferjom town and two areas in the western countryside of Aleppo after heavy clashes with al-Nusra Front terrorists and allied groups.

In another development, the army units completed securing the international road that links Aleppo and Damascus after liberating the areas located n the outskirts of the road from terrorist groups.

In the western countryside of Aleppo, a Syrian military helicopter was downed by a hostile missile while it was carrying out operations against Turkish-backed terrorist groups.

The helicopter crew was martyred.
