Beirut (ST): Israeli warplanes renewed at dawn today their violation of the Lebanese sovereignty and carried out sorties over the South and Western Bekaa. Directorate of Guidance at the Lebanese army command said in a statement that the Israeli warplanes violated the Lebanese airspace and carried out reconnaissance sorties at a medium altitude over the villages of Hasbaya and al-Arqoub reaching Western Bekaa.
It added that two Israeli warplanes violated the Lebanese airspace and carried out circular flight over Baalabek and al-Hirmel in Bekaa and over al-Shoof before returning to the occupied Palestinian territories.
The statement also referred to the death of the Lebanese soldier who was injured along with three others yesterday in an ambush set up by gunmen in Baalabek .
