People in occupied Syrian Golan mark Open Strike anniversary, stress more determination to liberate occupied Golan

QUNEITRA, (ST)-Marking the 38th anniversary of the Open Strike, the citizens in Quneitra and the occupied Syrian Golan on Thursday reiterated their determination to continue  their struggle until they liberate the occupied Syrian Golan from Israeli occupation and restore all their usurped rights.

They affirmed their adherence to every inch of Golan soil and their insistance on expelling the Israeli occupation from it.

On February 14, 1982, the people in occupied Golan organized a national open strike in rejection of the decision made by the Israeli occupation authorities’ on December 14, 1981 to annex the occupied Syrian Golan and impose the Israeli laws on its people.

 Hamzeh Sulaiman, member of the Baath Arab Socialist Party in Quneitra, told SANA reporter that Golan is a Syrian Arab land and that the Israeli annexation decision is illegal as it violates international laws.

Ref’at al-Hussein, Member of the People’s Assembly saluted the people in the occupied villages of Majdal Shams, Masa’ada, Baq’ata  and Ein Qenniyeh who have preserved the identity of Golan, reiterating that Golan will return to Syria sooner or later.

Sidqi al-Maqt, the dean of the Syrian and Arab captives in the Israeli occupation prisons, who has recently been liberated, said “our battle against terrorism is the forefront of resistance against the Zionist entity and its takfiri mercenaries and against all traitors who are serving the US-Zionist schemes in the region”.
