On February 5, Iran and Algeria reiterated their rejection and decisive stance against the so-called “Deal of the Century” which was announced by US President Donald Trump last week.
During a telephone conversation, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Algerian counterpart Sabri Boukadoum described “the deal of the century” as “unfair and unacceptable”, Iranian News Agency (IRNA) reported.
They underlined the need to take a firm stand and to ensure solidarity of the Islamic world against this conspiracy and protect the rights of the Palestinian people.
In a phone call with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on February 4, Zarif confirmed Iran’s rejection of this deal and its support for the rights of the Palestinian people and the establishment of an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
