Syrian Red Crescent delivers food aid to citizens in Daraa al-Balad area

DARAA, (ST)- The teams of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC)  branch in the Syrian province of Daraa on Tuesday delivered a new batch of food aid to Daraa Al-Balad area.

The move comes within the framework of SARC’s humanitarian response plan.

 Dr. Ahmed Al-Masalmeh, Head of SARC branch in Daraa told SANA that the aid, which is provided by the World Food Program, includes 4100 food baskets and 4100 flour bags. He pointed out that another batch of aid is to be distributed next Thursday.

 Al-Masalmeh said that within the coming few days, the branch will begin the fifth stage of humanitarian response with a new mechanism.

SARC humanitarian response targets 210,000 families in the province and it is almost completed.
